We want you to thoroughly enjoy your day at Bath Races, which is why across most of the racecourse there is no formal dress code enforced. We want you to be comfortable but most racegoers go for a smart casual outfit. There are more formal dress codes in place for some of the hospitality packages and Roof Garden.
Clothing That Is Not Permitted
Bath Racecourse reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone who is considered inappropriately dressed. Please be aware that in some areas denim with rips or tears, denim shorts and sportswear is not permitted.
One of our more exclusive areas with stunning views across the course. This area requires a smart casual dress code. Smart denim, tailored shorts and smart trainers are accepted, but ripped denim, denim shorts or sportswear will not be permitted.
Our grandstand tickets are a popular choice and there is no formal dress code for this area. However, we would encourage a smart casual dress code if possible. Jeans, denim, shorts and trainers are all perfectly acceptable. We discourage sportswear and ripped denim. Fancy dress is permitted providing it is not considered offensive to other racegoers or children
With hospitality, those attending restaurants and our owners and trainers, we encourage smart attire. This means gentlemen are asked to wear a smart shirt (although a tie in not essential). Smart denim and long, tailored shorts are acceptable, however ripped denim, denim or sports shorts, t-shirts, vests, sports shirts, tracksuits, trainers, gentlemans flip flops or sandals and bare chests are not acceptable.
