There are many ways to travel to Bath Racecourse. We have free parking on site for cars and coaches and we’re just six miles off the M4 for anyone travelling from further afield. We also allow helicopters to land at the course on race days, this just needs prior permission.
We have great public transport too with special shuttle buses from Bath train station on race days. There is a local bus service as well from the town centre.

Running before and after each racing fixture at other popular events, the bus picks up from Avon Street, outside Bath Spa train station. Children aged 15 and under travel free with a fare-paying adult. The bus is operated by First Bus - https://www.firstbus.co.uk/bristol-bath-and-west/plan-journey/bath-races
Mike Parcej, a friend of the racecourse and passionate horse racing fan, has this advice about the buses:
''There is a 620 bus from Manvers Street in the city, to Lansdown. However, this appears to be only once every two hours, therefore I would recommend the Service 31 to Lansdown Park and Ride, that runs once every 15 minutes every day. The racecourse is a further 20 minutes on foot along the road from there, on the left hand side. A very pleasant walk and all on the flat!''
