Here's some useful information to help racegoers get the most from their day at the races at Bath Racecourse's Festival of Legends on Friday 2 August.

TIMES

Gates open at 3.00pm. There are seven exciting races taking place starting from taking place starting from 5.05pm. The last race is at 8.20pm. The music concert will take place straight after the last race and last for two hours:

8.30pm - Absolute Bowie

9.15pm - George Michael Tribute

9.45pm - Flash; A Tribute To Queen

The event finishes at 10.30pm.

WEATHER

The forecast for Friday is dry with sunny spells and temperatures up to 23 degrees. We advise you to dress with the weather in mind as this is an outdoor event.

A few places remain for you to upgrade to the Ziggy Stardust Diner. Enjoy a reserved table for the whole event in Parade Ring Marquee as well as two-course all-you-eat buffet.

FOOD & DRINK

A range of bars and food outlets are available serving hot and cold food and drink. Food and drink cannot be brought into the racecourse, except in the Centre Course Picnic Enclosure.

LIVE MUSIC

There will be three great bands performing after racing. 

Absolute Bowie - winners of the 'Best Bowie' and 'Best Tribute Band' at the Agents Association Awards 2018

George Michael by Michael Butler - a flawless tribute to the incredible George Michael

Flash - the world's most authentic live Queen Tribute band who were hand-picked by the BBC to perform live to a primetime television audience of millions.

The incredible 'Revue' will be performing well-known, upbeat tunes throughout the day by the Beckford bar. While Jukebox Duo, who specialise in performing vintage adaptations of current songs, will be performing on the Final Furlong Bar lawn. 

DRESS CODE

There is no formal dress code for public areas of the racecourse, however most racegoers opt for smart-casual dress.

A smart dress code applies if you are in a hospitality area and there's a smart-casual dress code if you have a Roof Garden ticket.

Pick up your raceday programme on entry for just £3.00. The raceday programme includes all the details you need to select your horse in each race, racecourse map and other useful information to help you get the most from your day. 

BETTING GUIDE

HOW TO FIND US

We're located north of Bath City centre and are easily accessed from Bristol and the M4.

There is a shuttle bus service to the racecourse from Manvers Street, adjacent from Bath Spa train station. The first bus leaves Bath at 3.30pm and runs every 20 minutes until 6.10pm. The return bus departs from the racecourse at 7.40pm and runs on a shuttle basis (approx. every 15 minutes) until 10.55pm. Return tickets cost £5.00 per person.

FREE PARKING

Parking at the racecourse is free.

Cars can only be left overnight in designated areas (and at your own risk). You must alert the parking attendant to avoid being towed.

SECURITY

We take security and safety very seriously. There will be a strong security presence and you will be subject to a bag search on arrival.

Sniffer dogs will be present as a reminder that drugs and illegal substances are prohibited from the racecourse and a zero-tolerance stance taken.

Please be patient and limit the bags you bring. Remember, no food or drink can be brought into the racecourse.

We ask all racegoers to not leave bags unattended and to report anything suspicious to a member of staff.
