We faced very difficult conditions before and after racing on Saturday 15 June, with heavy showers falling on top of the significant un-seasonal rainfall over the last week.
Following an inspection after race three, the decision was taken to abandon races on the round course due to health and safety concerns; albeit Stewards were happy that racing could continue on the straight course. The racecourse therefore abandoned the fourth and final races of the afternoon.
As ever, the safety of all participants is of paramount importance.
Bath Racecourse would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. We would like to thank all of our customers and all of the racing professionals at Bath today for their support and understanding.
