Horse racing in September comes to Bath Racecourse with a Tuesday afternoon of flat racing on 28th September. The air is crisp, the Downs are turning golden and it's a good time to be up on the highest racecourse in the UK.
Swap the usual Tuesday routine for a sociable afternoon outdoors. Find a spot on the lawns, in the grandstand or right on the rail. Feel the drum of hooves as the field comes up the straight, then hear the cheer at the line.
There's plenty of space to enjoy the views and chat with friends between races. It's a welcoming, laid-back crowd, so bring a coat as well as your sunglasses.
As the evenings draw in, a hot drink or a hearty bite from the food stalls goes down well. Bars and trackside snacks are on hand all afternoon.
We're just minutes from the city centre, with free parking and easy transport links. Under-18s go free. Autumn fixtures are popular, so book online to secure your place.
Children 17 and under go free* to the races when accompanied by an adult (*exclusions may apply). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day.
Concessions discounts are only available on the day.
