Horse racing in September comes to Bath Racecourse with a midweek afternoon of flat racing on Wednesday 1st September. The evenings are drawing in, but there's still time for one more afternoon outdoors on the highest racecourse in the UK.
Slip out of the midweek routine and head up the hill. Pick your spot on the lawns, in the grandstand or right on the rail. Feel the drum of hooves as the field comes up the straight, then hear the cheer at the line.
It's a welcoming, laid-back crowd, so bring colleagues, friends or family. There's a crispness in the air this time of year, so bring a jumper as well as your sunglasses.
Warm up with a drink from one of the bars and grab something from the street food stalls between races. If you'd like guaranteed seating and a meal with a view of the track, hospitality packages are available.
Our September fixtures are popular, so book ahead to get the best price. We're just minutes from the city centre, with free parking and easy transport links. Under-18s go free.
Children 17 and under go free* to the races when accompanied by an adult (*exclusions may apply). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day.
